CE's cement is a specially formulated proprietary mix. It is the product of years of experimentation and real-world application in hundreds of homes and businesses. We are so confident of the quality of our work and the integrity of our materials that we warrant our surfaces against cracking under normal use for one-year.

CE's proprietary line of finishes and sealers protect your cement surface from substances that will stain unprotected cement. Coffee, tea, grape and tomato juice, and common household cleaners and chemicals, won't damage or penetrate Cement Elegance surfaces.

Cement Elegnace surfaces are heat resistant to 400°F.  We recommend that a trivet or other surface or material designed to accept hot pans be used. Additionally, we provide a number of options for standard and custom-designed inlaysof heat-proof materials to provide ample "hotspots" around stove areas.

Cement Elegance surfaces are poured in one complete piece. There are no seams or gaps, no discoloration at seam lines, no un-true level surfaces due to improper installation or settling of separate pieces. A Cement Elegance surface will always provide a beautiful, uniform surface that is unbroken and level, and molds itself to existing elements such as backsplashes, walls and fixtures.

Cement Elegance is so confident of our product that we will warrant our surfaces against cracking within two-years of its installation. If our surfaces crack within this time period due to failure of the material under normal use, we will repair it at our cost.

Cement Elegance can achieve a variety of colors or patterns for your cement surface. Colors can be included integrally within the cement itself to achieve a solid color.. We can also use a variety of troweling techniques to create or accentuate natural patterning within the cement. We can also use colorwashing techniques to create unique and pleasing patterns, designs or textures to your specifications.

Our special cement formulations will create a true level surface. This is a major advantage over pre-fabricated countertops that may have to be shimmed to correct for out-of-level cabinetry. Within a specific range of tolerance in level of a cabinet or supporting structure, CE surfaces will always create a true, level surface.

Most cement countertops are poured to 1½î to 2î inches thick. A Cement Elegance countertop is normally only one-half-inch thick over the substrate.

The weight of our countertops is half that of our competitors. This reduces the chance of settling of cabinetry which can crack a countertop.

Cabinets and other supporting structures do not require extra reinforcement to support the weight of our countertops.

The thinner surfaces are more flexible and less prone to cracking. Less material means it is not subjected to the forces created by thicker, heavier countertops.

Shrinkage is one of the leading causes of cracking in a cement surface. CE's cement mixture requires a minimal water-to-cement ratio. This reduces the amount of evaporation and shrinkage during the cement's cure time. This significant reduction in shrinkage helps to eliminate the occurrence of cracking in our surfaces.
